"Tomorrowland is Here," by william R. Collins: This article made me think about technologies, especially computer that people in the past predicted. There are so many things computer and the model improves in every century. Maybe in the future there will be a computer that we never imagined of. Also computer in the future will make life easier and each day we are getting closer to tomorrow. Therefore this article inspired me to think about computers in present and future.
"Robots Among Us:"This article is from the point of view from a person in the future. This article is also about technoligies in future that will improve our lives. The article talks about how robots will do all the work we do taoday in our lives. Not to mention robots can perform jobs that we can't do. Robots will even protect us and they will be similar to human. Thew perform surgeries, remove radioactive sludge and they open some infected mail of the nation. It's incredible and i hope i could live in a time like this-robots in future.
"Send In Clones:" This article is about cloning and how it is a hot topic. This article talks about how animal cloning have been done to some animals but some of the leaders were against it. Some scientest scientest aimed on human cloning but also some scientest purpose was to provide a scource of stem cells used to trat disease. I hope cloning is used for good in the world.
"More than Human...or Less:" This article is about one of William Gibson's sci-fi stories. This article was mostly about the theory of Cybernetically enhanced human, which talk's about cyberspace. This theory inspired scientests to put their mind on the theory of mind cell. This article really made think about human and the world of tomorrow.
"Who Goes There:"This article is about how items we use today has so many benifits that we recieve.Bank debit cards are moving us swiftly toward a cashless society. In addition millitary distributing smart i.d cards that will give 3.4 personal access to buildings and network. Also cameras positioned in rodway intersections in U.S.A. Not to mention in the future their might be trusted travelar card for airlines and security experts. All of these items are very useful and cool too.
"The TV Family:"This article is about Ray Braudbary and his scientific ideas on telivision. In the future their might befamily four wall telivisor, a device taht tells you what to think and blasts it in, what nonsense. Also Braudbery had one of scince fiction's keener eyes for future technology.
I think Braudbery has great interest in sci fi and technologies just like me.
"Beam Up Society:"This article is about journeys in science fiction.Getting one place to another tends to be easier and way faster. The speed of light is still an unbreakable limit. However there are theories on traveling time and human faxing machine. Teleportation builds up the idea of traveling through speed. Also this article talks about wrap drive which can axceede the speed of light but there is negative energy to it. I hope someday i coul travel in time faster than lightning.
"We Come in Peace:"This is one of the most popular topic in science. This article talks about whether there is life on other solar systems. But only way to know is to contact aliens. Aliens could be good or bad but if aliens come to earth we can defeat them with energy and weapons. Ready or not the future is here. Wow! The future is full of surprises and i hope i live to see them.

By reading all of these articles i learned many things about science fiction and i am very curious about the future. Science is improving and making life easier. From big technologies to simple machines, they are all helpful. Who knew science could be so interesting when you know about the future?

The Beast chapter 14 to 16 (end)

After finish reading the book "The beast" I was surprised about the ending. In the ending Gabi actually goes to rehab to be a normal person again. Spoon was with her all those time and helped her. After everything is OK, Spoon goes back to Wallingford. The part that really shockede me was when Chanelle and Spoon were kissing and expressing rheir love. I think it wasn't real because Spoon's true love is Gabi. In addition Spoon graduates from the Acadamy and he was accepted to Brown. Gabi also graduated but with no scolership. Another thing that really shocked me was that Rafe is now addicted to drugs. I think it led him to this situation was gang and struggles. Gabi and Spoon on the other hand were spending together and Gabi was no the gabi she was before Spoon left to the Acadamy. At the ending Gabi worked as well as Spoon.. Gabi met Spoon's frinds at the University ans had a lot of fun with him. "Drugs become part of you even after you leave them behind. They're always there. We don't leave anything behind," Gabi said. This makes wonder if she is still in touch with drugs but i hope not. Chanelle got excepted to UCLA, which was really far away. Spoon didn't allow himself to like Chanelle because Gabi ment a lot to him and it ends peacefully. The ending was great and interesting eventhough it was kind of confusing. So anything is possible. You can make a bad person into good with a little effort or you can make them bad. The Beast, a great story and it's written in a way we can express ourselfs. I recommend this book and we can learn a valuable lesson frm it. Great Ending!!

The Beast Chapters 12-13: The Labyrinth

The term Lybyrinth means a trap, maze and hard to get out of. The Beast chapter 12 is titled Lybyrinth because Gabi and Spoon are both facing and dealing with many problems. Now they can't find a solution or the way out. In the story Gabi is stuck with drugs and now she is addicted after knowing that her mother died. Spoon is confused and thinks his life has changed. In Harlem many people changed especially Gabi changed, which really shocks him. In chapter 12, he can't find Gabi anywhere and he searches everywhere. He knows she is dealing with drugs. After getting a location and spending a lot of money he finds Gabi, very week. He then takes her home and treats her nicely. Gabi knows she chose the wrong path but she can't turn back from it. So Gabi is in Labyrinth because her life changed and she is in a situation where she is locked or traped. Spoon is trapped in a Labyrinth as well because he is stuck in this totally new world where everything is changed. Spoon is helping her overcome all the obstacles.
Why and How are both Gabi and Spoon trapped in a Lybyrinth? Well the text "Lybyrinth" proves how and why are they stuck in a Lybyrinth. Gabi is trapped in a worl where she could only see drugs and she lost eveything. She chose her path and lifestyle. Her feelings changed and it's like she is ending. Spoon is stuck in Lybyrinth because to him his life slipped someway and everything changed. he cant believe his eyes surprise how people like clara, scott and Gabi changed. He must be there for Gabi and that's the right thing to do.Therefore Spoon and Gabi are both trapped in Lybyrinth.

On the Court With Michael Jordan (Missing Work)

On the court with Michael Jordan written by Matt Christopher.What does this book make you wonder about? Well this book makes me wonder about being a basketball player like Michael Jordan or Air Jordan.If i was Michael Jordan i would be really popular and my life would be totally different. Michael Jordan is one of the best basketball player in history and he lived up to his name. Imagine holding the ball, flying on the air and making the dunk while the crowd is cheering for you. The best move and #23 does it over and over again and shocks you every time. Even though Michael Jordan didn't make the basketball team at first all the hard work showed his path. This book makes me wonder about any=thing is possible just a little hard work can make a change. It makes me wonder about winning so many awards and recorgnized as the Air Jordan almost every people in the world know's about. In addition it makes wonder about being in the team "Bulls" the best team back than and soon joining the "Wizards" Flying over the court and than making the shot for which he is still recorgnized today. Micheal Jordan also played baseball and he showed how basketball is played. This book makes me dream instad of wonder of being Michael Joerdan and become a role model of many others.

Big Joe"s Funeral

Today in class I read a story from "145th street called Big Joe's Funeral written by Walter Dean Myers. This story is about Big Joe's "fake" fuineral. Big Joe is a generous, popular and a rich person who helps other people in Harlem. So Big Joe acted like he was dead and all the people came to his funeral. However Peaches, who was really mad spread the news, Big Joe is not dead and sure some people believed her. When the Undertaker was about place Big Joe in the coffin, Big Joe stood up and the party started. So, it was a party all along and all the people enjoyed the party with the food. But, soon the cops came because Peaches told the cops that their were drugs and Big Joe was dissapointed but he got happy later. Then after a while a women called the cops over her husband, who got arrested. However, she wanted money to bail her husband out of jail. So she asked Big Joe for the money, who gave the money to her knowing that she won't pay back. In the ending Big Joe tells them to cry next time when he has a funeral. So all Big Joe wanted to see was how people would act in his funeral. The theme of this story is respect in life because Big Joe wanted to see how people think of him when he dies. This story was very interesting to me because of the funeral party. It was a great story with a big lesson behind it.
